Health care hospital was established in 1992 as sole-proprietorship concern of Dr. Qamar zaman khan with the objective to serve the humanity and men kind. Initially the hospital was established as general hospital and step-up with 22 beds and so on OPD. Asian Development Banks through Allied Bank of Pakistan finances the hospital. Therefore gradually increased by 42 beds and state of the art facilities under one roof. At present w.e.f October 2002 hospital changed its corporate status from sole proprietor to private limited company.
 
Dr. Qamar Zaman Khan who has more then 25 years in the medical profession administrativelymanages the hospital. Dr. Qamar did his MBBS from Liaquat Medical College Hyderabad and thereafterjoined Pakistan Air Force as Flight Surgeon but in 1971 he had been send to Pakistan Army as Captainin 1971 war against India and immediate after the war ends he took the option of retirement and joined.
 
Baqai Hospital, Nazimabad as Medical Registrar. In the year 1974 we went to USA for post graduate Diploma and did his
CME (Diploma Course) came after 4 ½ years and joined Al-Murtaza Hospital keeping in view of the increasing number of patients and non availability of proper medical facilities in the vicinity. With the help of Asian Development Loan scheme through Allied Bank of Pakistan he started the hospital with 22 beds and gradually increased to 64 beds till-to-date. The hospital provides services to all major institutions like state Bank of Paksitan, National Bank of Pakistan, United Bank, Habib Bank, ODGC, SSGC, NIT, PIA, Civil Aviation and about 30 more national and multinational companies. The hospital has about more then 30 famous consultants sitting and practicing in different timing and days.
 
In the year 2000 the hospital established Cath Lab (including Angiography / angioplasty and Cardiac Surgery) keeping in view of the increasing demand of the patient in the city.
 
In the year 2003 the hospital envisages expanding its existing facilities through establishing the institute of urology after the successful completion and running of the institute of cardiology in order to provide service to humanity and mankind. The idea came in the mind for setting up a urology institute after a thorough study for the increasing market demand of the patient in two provinces like Sindh and Bolochistan. To the cater the needs of patients of two provinces there are only two institutes in Karachi providing kidneys related treatment one is Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIOUT) and second one is, the Kidney Center and these two institutes are not been able to full fill the requirements of the huge number of patients for the entire Sindh and Balochistan. The Hospital has imported the latest lithotripsy Machine and another portable Angiography Machine worth Rs. 36 million.
